Community Supported Agriculture

2021 Signup

Green Heart Garden’s Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a sustainable, low till garden using bio-intensive growing techniques to produce some of the best fruits and vegetables the Northwest has to offer! We use a mixture of compost and chicken manure in our garden beds to help keep the soil healthy and the vegetables rich in nutrients. No pesticides or herbicides are used on the vegetables.

Full Payment Due by May 1st 2021. Since we are a small farm your share helps us purchase the seeds and equipment needed to get the growing season started. Thanks so much.

We are so excited to once again be growing vegetables for the local community this year. We have been hard at work inside planning the growing season and can't wait to get outside and dirty. This is our third year in production. Each year we work to refine our skills to provide more vegetable variety and product consistency to our members and customers.

We are happy to be able to offer more choices this year. We are partnering with Taelyn at Tortuga Gordo Fermentations again to bring you delicious ferments right to your door. There is the option of adding the Ferment package to your 2021 CSA membership to ensure you get 10 ferments throughout the season. It will work just like the CSA share, Taelyn will develop at least 10 wonderful ferments from our vegetables and you will receive them with your weekly veggie bag. Last year he made different kinds of kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles, and hot sauces. Check out his Instagram page @tortuga_gordo. There will be little room to pick and choose, so this option is for those looking to expand their ferment palate.

We are also including access to the Cook With What You Have online CSA Recipe Collection to provide recipes for your weekly produce. When you become a CSA member, you will have a year of unlimited access to 1,100+ recipes, templates, storage and preserving tips, pantry stocking suggestions and vegetable prep videos, organized by vegetable and created using CSA produce. Check out the website at Cookwithwhatyouhave.com to see all the amazing features you will enjoy. Once you enroll with us we will send you our promo code to create your free online account.

The 2021 Season

We are offering one share size, with the option to add a Tortuga Gordo Ferment package. The season will be 22 weeks of vegetable deliveries to your door, starting mid-May and going to mid-October. Each share can feed anywhere between 2-5 people depending on your vegetable intake. Please check out our Instagram page @ghgpdx for the previous year's bounties. As we mentioned before, we are working on our selection and this year will not contain as many peppers as last year. We got really excited about growing peppers and forgot about the variety part! Lesson learned.

All of our CSA shares are delivered to your door on a weekly basis in reusable 100% cotton cloth bags. We ask everybody to put the empty dirty bag from the previous week on their door handle where we can easily switch it out for a fresh full veggie bag. We wash the bags with hypoallergenic, no perfumes or dyes, laundry detergent before the next week's delivery.

This map is a rough outline of our delivery service area. Please contact us directly at [email protected] if it looks like you may be just outside the line, we'd be happy to discuss options.

The cost for one share is $550, which comes out to $25 per week.

The Tortuga Gordo Ferment add-on package is $100 for 10 ferments.

We accept many forms of payment - Cash, Check, and Square online. Square payment online does include the added service charges incurred when using their service (Sign up button below).
